Busing for Next School Year
Currently bused students:
- Busing will roll over during the summer. Please do NOT re-apply.
- To request different busing due to a change in school or transportation address, complete a Transportation Request application.- Only ONE application per child.
 
- Applications approved by August 22 will receive busing for September 2.
- Applications approved between August 23 and September 4 will receive busing for September 8.
- If your child no longer requires busing, email us at: reginaschoolbus@firstgroup.com& transportation@rcsd.ca.

Kindergarten Busing for Next School Year
KINDERGARTEN - Apply now! Complete ONE 2025-26 Transportation Request per eligible 2025-26 Kindergarten student. 
Student ID: Students starting Kindergarten in September will get their student ID in mid-August.  Please apply without this number. 
- Check eligibility using Can I Ride a Bus?
- Apply now! Only ONE application per child.
- If you have a child entering Kindergarten next year that requires busing for September 2, you may apply without a student ID.
- Be informed. Check out the 2025-26 transportation information.
- Student ID’s will be available to families at the First Ride event, or you can email transportation@rcsd.ca after August 20 to obtain it. You will need your child’s student ID to check busing information in the Portal and to apply for transportation in the future.
- Email: Processing updates will be sent to the email you provide. Processing will occur in July and throughout August. Check your junk/spam folder.
- AFTER SCHOOL DROP OFF A parent or guardian MUST meet the bus to receive their Kindergarten student at their stop after school. To remove this restriction: wait until you receive approval for your child’s transportation and then email your permission to reginaschoolbus@firstgroup.com and transportation@rcsd.ca.
ACCESSING BUSING INFORMATION
You require your child’s student ID to check their busing information. Student IDs for Kindergarteners will be available to families at the First ride event on August 19. If you are unable to attend First Ride, you can email transportation@rcsd.ca to request your child’s student ID.
Once you get the student ID, you can see your child’s 2025-26 busing information by creating an account on the Parent Portal and adding your child.

School Attendance Area & Bus Eligibility
Regina Catholic Schools has established transportation boundaries within the school attendance area for both the English and French Immersion Elementary Programs. Transportation is provided for:
- elementary students living or attending daycare more than 1.2 km from their designated school- walk to stop distances may be up to 450 metres (this may include crossing streets at intersections)
- one-way rides times may be up to 60 minutes
 
Registered at a School - Children must be registered at a school prior to applying for transportation. Please access the Registration Information page to start the registration process.

Prior to completing an online application (one application per student):
- Ensure address requested is eligible for busing, whether a new application or changing to existing:

- Obtain your child's Student ID from your school Office Manager or the RCSD Transportation Officer.
- Submit application at least three (3) school days prior to effective date.
Note: If your application is approved, you will receive an email with instructions to access the parent portal for your student’s stop location, times and the animal/route number of their assigned bus.

Can my high school student ride the school bus?
Regina Catholic Schools does not provide transportation for high school students. Transportation for high school students is available through the City of Regina Transit and is subject to the city's fares, routes and schedules.

Transportation Appeals
The Transportation Appeal process has been developed to allow parent(s)/guardian(s) a means to appeal a prior decision made by the Transportation Officer and the CFO where their child(ren) was denied transportation and/or changes to their child(ren)’s current transportation situation.
The transportation appeal would be reviewed by the Board of Trustees only after a request has been made to the Transportation Officer and then subsequently reviewed by the CFO who oversees transportation. More details are provided on the form below.
